Better pics? edit

Needs better picture preferably one with VIPs in the frame. Current image is supposedly a Daewoo-badged Holden Statesman/Caprice. It's not even the right colour; government limos are usually white, hence 'white cars'. -- Htra0497 15:08, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I was driving around Canberra one day a few years ago, from the airport towards the city, and came upon a black Holden Statesman with a crown for the numberplates, tailed by a white Holden Commodore full of police. I assume the black Statesman was transporting the Governor-General of Australia Major-General Michael Jeffrey. Ajayvius 23:24, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Doesn't the GG have another ceremonial vehicle? Some classic car (ie. an old Rolls or something)- Htra0497 08:53, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
You would think that the Prime Minister would also use a British car (like a Rolls-Royce, Bentley or Jaguar) instead of a BMW, if he can't use an Australian one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.237.106 (talk) 11:30, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Rename the Article edit

To my knowledge, the Australian media and the leaders of our country do not refer to their cars as 'prime ministerial limousines,' largely because they serve all Members of the Australian Parliament and many other public servants and government officials. They are usually referred to as 'Commonwealth Cars,' so I suggest that the article be renamed as 'Commonwealth Car (Australia)' to better describe the subject matter. I don't think that's correct: the PM has a dedicated fleet of specially modified armoured cars reserved for their use. The other MPs and ministers share a pool of Commonwealth Cars, which are (as I understand it) essentially unmodified from the base commercial models. Nick-D (talk) 07:27, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Article title edit

Why are we using the term "Prime Ministerial Limousine"? The government doesn't use it https://www.google.com.au/search?q="Prime+Ministerial+Limousine"+site%3A.gov.au, and the car clearly isn't a limousine. Ivar the Boneful (talk) 08:56, 22 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. The notability is marginal as well. Nick-D (talk) 11:05, 22 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
