The article Prasinococcaceae should be merged into this page. As of 2020,[1] the Prasinococcaceae family only contains Prasinococcus, because the genus Prasinoderma now forms a completely independent lineage (Prasinodermophyceae, which is the sister group to Palmophyllophyceae; together they compose Prasinodermophyta). Therefore, Prasinococcaceae is monotypic and should be merged with its only genus. —Snoteleks (Talk) 15:50, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
