The text: The Praful Bidwai Memorial Award is intended "to honour and highlight courageous and independent voices in journalism". The award is given by a committee formed by Praful Bidwai's friends, including the Transnational Institute who set up the award to honor his legacy. The Award is worth Euro 1,500 and is announced on 23 June, Praful Bidwai's death anniversary.
