New Games?

I can also report that there is definitely a new PbtA game called Headspace (cyberpunk, but where all characters link in a shared consciousness and can even use the skills of others) published by Green Hat Designs. Also in Kickstarter process currently are FarFlung (far-future, whimsical SF in the vein of Barbarella, The Incal and many other inspirations) and City of Mist (noir/superhero/mystic) which is not pure Powered by the Apocalypse but also uses a system of descriptive Tags. 66.241.130.86 (talk) 20:27, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

For reference, she now goes by Minerva McJanda (or Mina for short), though there was an intermediary period where she went by "Jay Iles". Per a reply in that Twitter thread, regarding how she'd like to be credited for works originally published under her old name: "not sure - probably 'By Mina McJanda, published under [old name]'. (Per MOS:GENDERID, their former name (the original one) only needs to be mentioned if she was notable under that name. I'm not sure if that's the case for her original name.) Proposal to split PbtA games list into its own separate article

I think the Powered by the Apocalypse#List of games section should be split out into a separate page called List of Powered by the Apocalypse games. The content of the current section seems overly long and only likely to grow further as new games continue to come out, and this section is certainly large enough to make their own page. I'm not sure whether or not there's enough in the current article about the game engine itself; right now, it just gives a cursory overview of the origins of the PbtA system and the most basic mention of "moves" as a game mechanic with little explanation. The games list obviously doesn't tell us much about the engine on its own, and the reception system just seems to arbitrarily list accolades for specific PbtA games with no mention of the PbtA engine at all. If the games list is split off into its own article, then the remaining article can be made to focus more on the engine as a whole; then we can see whether the actual engine is notable enough/whether there's enough to say about the engine for it to actually warrant its own article besides just the list of games. I definitely think that the list of PbtA games should be a separate page at this point. It's becoming rather long and to your point, V2Blast - it will only get longer. My suggestion for the remaining Powered by the Apocalypse page would be to just merge it with Apocalypse World, though perhaps that is its own discussion. WoodSquill (talk) 09:38, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

I'm not sure about it. I feel like considering that PbtA is more of a framework for game creation than a system in itself, a list of games that use it is integral information. And the article wouldn't have much to it without that section. Vogopolis (talk) 20:23, 14 April 2021 (UTC)

I've updated the reception section (new sources such as a journal article, Polygon, CBR, etc) so I don't think PbtA needs to be merged into AW. Not sure if there needs to be a separate list article for the games at this point. I did make a PbtA navbar to at least link the games with articles. Sariel Xilo (talk) 19:28, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
