- Prose review
Pombo Musical is a children's album produced by Colombian recording artist Carlos Vives as a musical tribute --> Pombo Musical is a children's album produced by Colombian recording artist Carlos Vives, as a musical tribute- The record contains fourteen tracks, of which only a single was released separately from the album --> Among the 14 tracks present in the album, only one was released as a single,...
- Pombo Musical was well-received, and overall in Colombia it went platinum --> Pombo Musical was well-received, and was certified platinum in Columbia by the Asociación Colombiana de Productores de Fonogramas (ASINCOL).
- It also won some accolades, including a Latin Grammy, and a Premio Shock --> Give the exact category of the award.
- In infobox, children's music is listed as a genre. It is not a musical genre, so please remove.
- Major point missing in the lead is a summary of the music composition in the article
- Vives ended his discographic contract with EMI Latin to take a hiatus from singing and concentrate on supporting local artists as a producer and songwriter --> Vives ended his music contract with EMI Latin and took a hiatus, for concentrating on supporting local artists as a producer and songwriter
- Vives revealed that the creation of the album began as a studio project in house between old friends, Carlos Ivan Medina, Carlos Huertas and Ernesto "Teto" Ocampo --> The creation of Pombo Musical began as a studio project in house between old friends, Carlos Ivan Medina, Carlos Huertas and Ernesto "Teto" Ocampo
- He stated: "Before we worked musically on some of Pombo's works --> Need to clarify who is Pombo
- Vives also said that, along with Medina, he made a melody for "Modelo Alfabético" and met Juanita Santos, the president of Rafael Pombo Foundation, who explained to them that they could present a musical proposal. --> Together with Medina, Vives made a melody for "Modelo Alfabético". He then met Juanita Santos, the president of Rafael Pombo Foundation, who asked them to present a proposal for a musical.
due to the number of artists contributing to it.[4] The artists who participated in the album were Juanes, Aterciopelados, Fonseca, --> due to the number of artists contributing to it, namely, Juanes, Aterciopelados, Fonseca......- On July 24, 2008, Vives presented "El Modelo Alfabético", a song based on a poem by Pombo, with influences of cumbia and rock. --> MAke this a new para. Secondly presented the song to whom?
- an album that collects the most iconic poems and fables of the recognized Colombian writer and poet Rafael Pombo. --> This idea should be talked about in the beginning of the para when Vives decided to create a musical
At present I would say I'm extremely dissatisfied with the prose. Each and every sentence in the lead and the first para I have had to highlight. I am asking the nominator, Luisnh1210, to immediately copy edit the article, else I will have to fail it because of major prose concern. Please put it through a peer review first and then nominate. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 16:00, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
- Hi DepressedPer, would prefer if you did not strike out the comments and let me decide on that. Coming to the article, are you going to do a copyedit of the article for prose concerns also? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 06:33, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Seeing that the original nominator has made less of an appearance in both GA talks, I might as well take the position. DepressedPer (talk) 12:20, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Wonderful, so I think the first section I have more or less reviewed, but the second and third section I want you to copyedit the prose first and then I will continue. Because as you saw, I had to list some other problem in each and every sentence, which was defeating. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 12:36, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- DepressedPer are you going to do the copy edit? There are two points left in the first section too. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:34, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- IndianBio I'm sorry, do you want me put those two points together into a new paragraph and/or mentioned the last point in the Lead? DepressedPer (talk) 18:28 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- DepressedPer the idea behind the album should be moved to the first, so that we first begin with the album's conception, its inspiration and then move to its recordings. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:52, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

...Continuing
- In the composition section, the English names of the songs are given in braces. Is this the same way it is present in the album track list?
- I don't think so but I think the English names were put there for people who don't read Spanish. DepressedPer (talk) 08:10, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- Vives and his brother perform the bambuco "La Pobre Viejecita" ("The Little Poor Old Woman"), which tells the story of an old women who is very unhappy and dies alone.[18] "La Tia Pasitrote" ("The Pasitrote Aunt"), performed by Ilona, is a rock funk song about the adventures of a crazy aunt.[19] The album clsoer, "Juan Matachín", performed by Julio Navas, tells about a widespread fear of Juan Matachín General.[20]
- There is a problem with the sentences, its all in the same monotonic flow → performer, song composition, song story. Can we have a copyedit to remove the monotony a bit and rephrase?
- How does it look? DepressedPer (talk) 10:10, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
- REference 23 needs proper formatting
- The tracklisting needs producer info also like the beginning, "All songs written and composed by Rafael Pombo"
- Doing that would mean having to use the note parameter for the performers. The producer parameter in the infobox shows that Vives is mostly working on the album. DepressedPer (talk) 07:14, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- What makes Bogota.vive.in reliable?
- It follows the same structure like all newspaper websites by covering all cultures and gives reviews of them. DepressedPer (talk) 07:14, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- Tedder.info?
- Ref 7 the liner notes needs a catalogue id.
- El Tiempo is a printed newspaper. It should be in italics in all the instances where it is used
- Make the folk capital in the infobox
Completing the review. On hold now DepressedPer. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:52, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- DepressedPer, still waiting. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 09:47, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thats fine.. I'm passing the article now. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 10:18, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
