Talk:Political handicapping

Latest comment: 4 years ago by 85.28.93.208 in topic So why handicapping?

This page needs references and examples. The term horse-race politics may be something coined by a journalist once upon a time but it's not a commonly used term. Very obscure. Kirkbroadhurst 07:35, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not obscure enough to keep Diane Rehm and her guests from using it 7 times in one 50 minute broadcast. SuperlativeBombast (talk) 01:30, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Also, the article uses the "some say" rhetorical device in the sentence immediately following its criticism of the usage of said rhetorical device. The pot calls the kettle black? SuperlativeBombast (talk) 01:18, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

So why handicapping?

edit

After reading the article on "political handicapping", I learned about "horse racing", but I still have no clue what handicapping is, nor why the term is being used or where it comes from. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.28.93.208 (talk) 08:51, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
