I've changed the article (which kinda has more to do with separation of church and state than with political endorsement) and made it a stub summary of the meaning of endorsement.
I actually came here wanting to find out what the legal meaning (if any) of endorsement is...does anyone know, and if you do, could you please add that? I'd greatly appreciate that. ~GMH 03:20, 29 July 2005 (UTC)

Practice of newspaper endorsements edit
I believe there is a cultural difference between continental Europe and Anglo-Saxon countries concerning political endorsements by newspapers. If I am right, American newspapers explicitly endorse candidates in election campaigns. In continental Europe, this is regarded as inappropriate for independent journalism. I don't know how this is seen in Britain. I think this would be an interesting point for the article.
Also, the importance of political endorsements by various groups for electoral success might be discussed. What do you think? --filip (talk) 00:59, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
