Lead

edit
  • "Pod is the debut album [...]" - Unlink "album".
  • "The seeds of the group began when the Pixies' Kim Deal and Throwing Muses' Tanya Donelly became friends in 1988 and decided they would like to create music together." - "The group began when the Pixies' Kim Deal and Throwing Muses' Tanya Donelly became friends in 1988, and decided they would like to create music together."
  • "[...] and Pitchfork ranked it as the #81 best of the 1990s" - "[...] and Pitchfork ranked it number 81 on its list of best albums of the 1990s".

Background and demo

edit
  • "(For the Breeders' first album, Walford used the pseudonym Shannon Daughton, because he did not want his participation to overshadow his role in Slint.)" - Maybe it would be better to convert it into a note.

Music and lyrics

edit
  • "[...] noted how Pod resembled the Pixies music" - "[...] noted how Pod resembled the Pixies' music"
  • "'rides the edge between sweet and delicate frivolity and a fierce head-banging sing-a-long [...]'" - "'rides the edge between sweet and delicate frivolity and a fierce head-banging sing-a-long [sic] [...]'"
  • "(For US distribution, 4AD originally licensed it to Rough Trade, which later went bankrupt; in 1992, its American distribution was picked up by Elektra Records.)" - I think this sentence does not need to be inside brackets.

Legacy

edit
  • "Wiggs has described her 'abiding affection' for Pod, calling its creation 'a pretty special experience. As individuals coming together to work on a shared project, and with so little time, everybody was really present, thoughtful, and focused, which I think you can hear in the song arrangements and the playing on that record.'" - Close paragraphing.
  • "In 2003, Pitchfork listed the album at #81 on their list of the Top 100 Albums of the 1990s." - "In 2003, Pitchfork listed the album at number 81 on its list of the Top 100 Albums of the 1990s."

Personnel

edit
  • Please put a non-breaking space ( ) before the dashes.
  • "Vaughan Oliver/ v23" - I believe it would be better to introduce to the reader what "v23" means (For what I've seen, it is a graphic design studio, isn't it? I'm not sure.)

References

edit
  • "Kandell, Steve" reference is a dead link. Can you fix it?

  On hold for now. – electricController 14:29, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

ElectricController, thank you so much for your review! I've made changes for all the points you mentioned. A couple of precisions about this:

  • I wasn't exactly sure what you meant for the first Legacy comment, but looking again at what I had, I realized having the long quotation didn't add much, so I paraphrased it. This may or may not have been what you were thinking of, but does it look ok?
  • I don't know why a bot labelled the Kandell ref as a dead link, because the link works fine for me. I have simply removed the "dead link" tag.

Let me know if you have any other concerns. Cheers, Moisejp (talk) 05:25, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have adressed all the issues. I will pass the article (by the way, congratulations on your work on it, I've seen that you wrote more than half of it!) – electricController 08:03, 9 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
