Protista was never a real Kingdom, just a taxonomic wastebin. It has been discarded now that we have the genetic evidence for real monophyletic or at least paraphyletic (not polyphyletic) Kingdoms for what were formerly called "protists," such as Chromalveolata. -The Mysterious El Willstro 209.183.184.250 (talk) 00:42, 4 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
