Merge
editThis article and The Ashley Treatment cover similar ground and should be merged. --124.189.10.4 08:19, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed, and done - Nakamura2828 15:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Disagreed, and undone. Do you usually merge after only a few hours of discussion? Perhaps you should wait for the contributors of the article to comment before making a unilateral decision. Discuss first, then take action. A pillow angel is not the same thing as the Ashley Treatment. Although they share commonalities, someone wanting to know what a pillow angel is would not necessarily want to know what the The Ashley Treatment is. Thanks for your willingness to discuss before further action. James Kidd 23:02, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- I apologize for my hasty merge, but I had figured it was a forgone conclusion since at least 90% of this page was a copy of the information at The Ashley Treatment. If this page is to remain separate, I would strongly encourage you to make it more generic, and refer to the term as such rather than completely focusing on one person the term describes. I would remove the redundant information myself, but since that would only leave one line, I will leave the task of revising the article to someone else. Sorry again if I offended anyone with my hasty merge. - Nakamura2828 04:40, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

- I'm going to contribute to this conversation, but I'm going to do it over at Talk:The Ashley Treatment. I encourage other editors to do the same so we don't end up with two separate discussions going regarding the same merge. --Icarus (Hi!) 23:22, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- That's fine, but I see no comment from you on Talk:The Ashley Treatment thus far? James Kidd 23:24, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Agreement, see Talk:Ashley Treatment. --James Kidd (Contr/Email) 03:28, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
Transwiki to Wiktionary (Removed)
editI agree with the merge to The Ashley Treatment (preferably without "The") done. Once the information is merged (again) with The Ashley Treatment I think we should keep Pillow angel until it is used for Wiktionary. See: WP:STUB and The Wiktionary: Criteria for inclusion. Comments? James Kidd 01:05, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose I oppose a transwiki at this point. I have not seen any evidence that the term "Pillow angel" is anything more than one family's pet name for their daughter. It may be a rather unique case, but until and unless it becomes a common term outside of this one case, it's no more notable than, for instance "Scoot" or "Peak Freen" (two childhood nicknames of people I know). --Icarus (Hi!) 08:38, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose Pillow angel seems to specifically apply to Ashley X. —Lowellian (reply) 01:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- I removed the TransWiki. James Kidd (Contr/Email) 03:04, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
