Philoetius

edit

The most proper and most common transcription of his Greek name (Φιλοίτιος) is Philoetius. The variatrion Philoeteus also exists in the literature but it's less appropriate. Maybe the article should be renamed. --Omnipaedista (talk) 15:29, 6 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've never read anything like this, that Philoeteus was a 'main character' (re: protagonist) of this or any other story. Perhaps I'm overlooking some interesting scholarship. In fact, I wasn't aware of any commentaries at all that came from the time of "Homer" (~800 BCE-ish). If we could get some citation for this, I think that would be great. Thanks!
