Donohue's retirement
editHello, could someone please clarify when Donohue retired since the text has him doing so quite a few times. Thanks! Happy Squirrel (talk) 17:55, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Happysquirrel Hello, this article is written by a long-time disruptive editor of F1 pages and has their trademark poor use of English. Having said that, I've just checked a reputable source and Donohue did indeed retire from the sport at the end of the 1973 season. That is his only retirement from driving. When the article says something like 'at Spain Donohue retired after an accident', (generic paraphrase) it means at that individual race. Regards, Eagleash (talk) 18:08, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you, makes more sense. It still doesn't explain why the article has them racing after retirement. Happy Squirrel (talk) 18:20, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Happysquirrel Sorry, not sure what you mean. The article (even in its original form) stated, albeit badly worded, that he was brought back by Penske to drive in F1. Retiring from individual races should not be confused with retiring from the sport in general. Eagleash (talk) 18:28, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
