This is a confusing page - should it not be a disambiguation? Aiken 20:11, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

It should probably a set index article. Ucucha 21:33, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Plural form? edit

First of: what is the plural form? Patagia? Patagiums? And if you speak about one animal, do you speak of its Patagium (as a whole) or of its Patagia (or whatever the plural form is)? Or maybe you use the singular only if all parts are "connected" in some sense of the word? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.64.71.94 (talk) 14:01, 12 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

The plural of "patagium" is "patagia." Enwebb (talk) 02:37, 15 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I am interested in adding some information to the bat section of this article using some new sources:

  • More details about the shape and structure of the bat wing, using chapter two of "Bats (Chiroptera) as Vectors of Diseases and Parasites"[1] entitled "Bats: A Glimpse on Their Astonishing Morphology and Lifestyle"
  • More details about the physiology of the skin of the structure, using the Journal article, "Mechanical properties of bat wing membrane skin"[2]

Does anyone has any suggestions or comments about these sources or the information I'm hoping to add? Julisymmons (talk) 03:18, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I don't have any reservations about your sources. I would just suggest that you might want to place some of your contribution in the article Bat. I say this because a large addition of material on bats to Patagium might make it lopsided in its emphasis.
You may have seen article sections or subsections headed by an indented link to the relevant article or article section that goes into more depth than the subsection does. It gives the reader an option between the overview provided by a general article, and the specificity of a more focused one. Example: Main article: White nose syndrome In this case, you might add a lot to Bat and add a subset of that material to Patagium. I'll leave it to you to decide.--Quisqualis (talk) 06:54, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
