Merger proposal

edit

I propose merging List of dinosaurs of the Morrison Formation into Paleobiota of the Morrison Formation, as I think the articles have too much overlap for them to be seperate. The dinosaurs are a large part of the Paleobiota after all. If given enough time I'll be able to carry out the merger myself, but seen as both of these articles have some history i thought it best to discuss first. This seems to follow WP:Summary style, with the dinosaur list being a sub-article. WP:lists states that Summary style should be applied if lists become "unwieldy". I see that, when merging the dinosaur list here, we get an additional subheading level and the thing might be much more complex and less easy to navigate. But ultimately I have no opinion on whether or not it should be merged. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 12:56, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I agree, I think that the dinosaur list is reasonably self-contained and helps to lessen the bloat of the overall formation list. Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 21:36, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
So then a merger wouldn't be desireable? TimTheDragonRider (talk) 10:28, 30 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have begun work on a complete overhaul and update of this page. I hope that it will be published sometime later this year. Cheers, -TimTheDragonRider (talk) 19:53, 12 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
