The article can be merged with PPC, as ad copy development is an integral part of the paid search process. However, the article states that landing pages are tools to generate sales. This is not entirely accurate; a sale is just one of the many possible actions a user may take. Many companies use landing pages for a variety of purposes, such as lead-gen, direct sales, brand awareness, and so one. So, landing pages are not only used to generate a sale or sales.
