Please do not remove my amendments to the PKR wiki page - I represent PKR.com itself and have been assigned this duty. I have made the most of your existing references and added my own. The edit I put up (and will do so again) is considered official.

Some proposed changes edit

I work for PKR.com and believe this article is both inaccurate and out of date, relating to logos and significant company developments. I will detail them below. The user above - Andrew Reid - no longer works for PKR, by the way. I am now responsible for Content & PR.

Up to date company logo can be found here: https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/803963927365320705/USnfCwLp.jpg

Rather than update each entry on the page, I suggest the following:

Introduction: PKR.com is an online gaming website operated by UK-based PKR Technologies Ltd, which offers real money Casino, Poker, Live Dealer and Virtual Sports games. PKR’s proprietary poker software uses 3D graphics and player character animation during poker play (7). Each user’s character (or avatar) can be customized and edited to suit their preference. The avatars incorporate body language, expressions, chip tricks, and poker tells to make the game more realistic and dynamic.

History: PKR Technologies was founded in 2005 by Jez San (1) with the PKR.com website and PKR Poker desktop software launched in 2006. The site grew to over 5 million registered users by November 2012. In August 2007, PKR entered into an agreement with software provider Playtech for the provision of a PC download casino product, branded PKR Casino.

In October 2008 PKR launched ‘PKR TV’ (27), featuring highlights and commentary of animated final tables in PKR’s highest stakes tournaments. PKR TV was broadcast on the Poker Channel and CNBC Europe, in addition to its own YouTube channel.

On the 30th October 2012 and the 10th November 2012, PKR released two casino iOS apps - 3D Roulette and 3D Blackjack. The games were free-to-play but also included in-app chip purchases ranging from 1000 chips to 1,000,000.

In January 2013, PKR released a real money poker app for the iPad (24). The app was initially available to UK players and offered ‘Sit n Go’ and real money cash games with multi-table tournaments added later. After the launch of the iPad poker app, PKR then released its iPhone Poker app in February 2013 (25). The app supported all generations of the iPhone. An Android version was launched in June 2013.

On the 25th August 2015 PKR released the ‘Jackpot Sit & Go’ poker tournament format, 3-seater Sit & Go tournaments with randomly chosen prize pools ranging from 2x the buy-in, to 5000x the buy-in plus a progressive jackpot.

Joining the Microgaming Poker Network From 2006 to until March 2016, PKR was a stand-alone poker room. The new management team put in place in 2016 (10) chose to join the Microgaming Poker Network (5) but retain the proprietary software. With the move to Microgaming came a new website which offered the Microgaming browser0based ‘Instant Play’ poker, as well as browser-based Casino & Vegas products.

On 18th August 2016 PKR launched Live Casino in partnership with Evolution Gaming.

Offline Activities: In November 2008 PKR launched the first ‘PKR Live’ (9), the first of many 11 poker tournaments held in card-rooms in the UK and Europe. These events have attracted several high-profile professionals, predominantly European; including Jake Cody (13) and Toby Lewis (14).

PKR customer Adrien “zlatan35” Allain converted a $5 online satellite entry into victory at the APT Macau for $391,556 in August 2009 (15), and then became a member of PKR Team Pro. Team PKR Pro was eventually disbanded in 2015 (18). PKR sponsored BAMMA (The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) in 2011 (8) and had sponsorship involvement with Rugby League.

Games offered PKR offers poker, casino games, live casino, and online slot machines. PKR Poker offers a large number of poker variations: No limit Texas hold’em, Pot limit Texas hold’em, Limit Texas hold’em, No limit Omaha, Pot limit Omaha, Limit Omaha, No limit Omaha Hi/Lo (8 or better), Pot limit Omaha and Limit Omaha. Blaze poker is also offered on their website browser and is Microgaming’s version of fast poker. PKR also offer Anonymous tables, intended to protect new players from those players using tracking software (also known as Heads-up-displays) (12).

Gaming licences PKR Poker, PKR Casino, PKR Live Casino, PKR Vegas and pKR Virtual Sports fall under PKR's Alderney Gambling Control Commission (16) and UK Gambling Commission (17) licences.
