"Changes"
editImplemented "Changes" section into the article to help readers understand the fluctuations and changes in the OMZ over time. Plan to implement other sections of the article that were created by the Oregon State University group. Hubertub (talk) 17:59, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
"Comment"
editI would like to oppose combining this with hypoxia in general. There are strong dynamic constraints on the open-ocean oxygen minimum zones that distinguish them from hypoxic zones in lakes.
"shadow zone"
editI don´t think "shadow zone" is used correct. In my view "shadow zone" means that this is the zone in which there is not much light (no photosynthesis possible). It is the same deep as the oxygen minimum zone is, but it is not the same. --Goldzahn (talk) 04:35, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Moved content about impacts of climate change
editI've moved the content about the impacts of climate change to ocean deoxygenation because similar content was spread over three articles (here, at ocean deoxygenation and also at microbiology of oxygen minimum zones. I am consolidating this information into one place now at ocean deoxygenation. Will later replace the paragraph that I've left behind with an excerpt from ocean deoxygenation.
