Talk:Notre Dame Elementary School (Belmont, California)

While this article does require a great deal of additional information and revising, it should not be deleted for "lack of notability." The school is an organ of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, founded by 19th century Catholic saint Julie Billiart. Articles on related institutions include those on Notre Dame High School (Belmont, California) and Notre Dame de Namur University, both institutions being located on the same grounds. Furthermore, the school is on the grounds of the former Ralston Hall estate. Zengakuren (talk) 00:29, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Historically, per a broad interpretation of the WP:SCHOOL guideline, high schools and universities usually get a free pass at notability if their existence is confirmed. Not so with elementary schools, for which coverage in reliable sources other than directories must be shown. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 02:04, 16 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
