The pronunciation is mentioned in the first sentence: ver-saylz. Remember, we aren't French (who pronounce it ver-sigh), we're of the United States variety of Americans, we enjoy perverting words we "borrow" from other languages. ~Piki (talk) 15:43, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

I removed the following section on Shopping: "The Borough of East McKeesport, including its business district, is nearly surrounded by the township. Much of North Versailles shopping is consequently done in a separate taxing body. Considerable efforts to persuade many townships and boroughs within Allegheny County to consolidate have been unsuccessful."

While there is some shopping in East McKeesport by North Versailles residents, North Versailles has several shopping centers (including a Super WalMart) within its jurisdiction. It is more likely that a greater majority of East McKeesport residents shop in North Versailles than visa versa.
