Image copyright problem with Image:DistinguishedServiceCrossRibbon.jpg edit

The image Image:DistinguishedServiceCrossRibbon.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

The following images also have this problem:

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --01:27, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is no image copyright problem - the bot is responding to erroneous information. The image is NOT being used under "fair use". The copyright reads: The Crown copyright protected material may be reproduced free of charge in any format or media without requiring specific permission. and hence does NOT require fair use rationales. Order of Wear edit

I have updated the VC, VCFNZ, NZC (1869), NZC (1999) and GC in accordance of the Order of Wear listed at http://medals.nzdf.mil.nz/info/orderofwear.html Britain and New Zealand both use the term Order of Wear for honours. Australia and perhaps New Zealand once used term Order of Precedence but today that term is not used for honours. It is used by Prime Minister and Cabinet for other matters see http://www.dpmc.govt.nz/dpmc/publications/order-of-precedence. I am surprised at the present groupings since it would be more historically accurate to group the VC, NZC (1869) and the VCFNZ as the highest awards and the NZC (1999) and the GC as the second highest awards. The subject heading should be changed to New Zealand Order of Wear. Anthony Staunton (talk) 07:17, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
