I disagree. Scott Hall has a legends contract with WWE. Hogan is paid for every appearance. I Kenin Nash or X Pac goes to WWE we could possibly see a D-Generation X vs nWo feud. Lawsuit

The settlement eventually led to the WWF having the right to bid on the assets of WCW should it ever be offered for sale, which happened in March 2001.

why would WWE not have a right to bid on WCW assets should they be offered or sale? This has been proven to not have been part of any deal reached as a result of any lawsuit. Vince McMahon has bought the assets of countless smaller wrestling organizations in the past. He continues to buy assets of companies to this day and he has ever had any sort of agreement beforehand giving him permission to go in and buy whatever he pays for. This seems to be a common misconception because it seemed unbelievable that Vince McMahon would be allowed to buy his biggest competition. Companies buy assets of their competition all the time and were not given the right to do so because of a lawsuit.

Bret Hat third man?

Hogan says a lot of things. His appearances on the "Bubba the Luv Sponge" radio show in Tampa were Unintentional Comedy Gold. From most verifiable sources I've read, there was consideration for Hart to be the third man. To clear up any confusion - this was also around the time he was (first) negotiating with WCW, before he signed the 20-Year Contract with WWE in late '96 that him and Vince later cancelled. WCW was not "second-rate" in July 1996

Even before the nWo storyline, Nitro was frequently beating Raw in the ratings. Granted, the 83-week domination didn't begin until then but to call WCW "second-rate" just doesn't seem accurate. I think it's better (and more objective) to state that the nWo drew millions of new fans to WCW, and I edited the page accordingly.

This was started by a supposed poster for Survivor Series that started circulating on the internet. It's not known whether or not it's real, but most likely not - especially since with the exception of maybe Hogan, most everybody involved with the nWo angle is either retired, contractually obligated elsewhere (i.e. Nash in TNA), or not in danger of being hired by WWE anytime soon. Since WWE does own the intellectual property rights (which transferred over from the sale of WCW), it's not out of the realm of possibility for the company to use new (and/or current) talent to form a new "nWo" stable, but if this were the plan, then surely someone with credibility such as Dave Meltzer or Wade Keller would've mentioned it.--Deputy Marshall 07:00, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Merge NWO Wolfpac & NWO Hollywood articles with this main listing?

I've completely re-written the nWo Hollywood article to NPOV it. Given, however, nWo Hollywood and nWo Wolfpac were stables on their own, I believe they do deserve their own articles (covering each in more depth), with nWo being an article on the WCW vs nWo angle overall. - user:AmishThrasher

Firstly, let's try to keep all talk on the discussion page in its current format. If there is a new talking point, please include it at the bottom of the page and use the Wikipedia format to highlight it. Secondly, from Wikipedia:Merging and Moving Pages:

"Merging"

There are several good reasons to merge a page:

• There are two or more pages on exactly the same subject.
• There are two or more pages on related subjects that have a large overlap. Wikipedia is not a dictionary; there does not need to be a separate entry for every concept in the universe. For example, "Flammable" and "Non-flammable" can both be explained in an article on Flammability.
• If a page is very short and cannot or should not be expanded terribly much, it often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic.
• If a short article requires the background material or context from a broader article in order for readers to understand it.

I believe the latter three highlight the points as to why, according to Wikipedia standards, the NWO Wolfpac article should be merged with the main article. The existence of the NWO Wolfpac article is redundant and unnecessary by Wikipedia standards, especially when there's no information in the "NWO Wolfpac" article that isn't available in this article. Subsequently, I've merged the "NWO Wolfpac" article with this main article (as the NWO Hollywood article already had been). nWo Reunion?

I don't recall the nWo ever being refered to by this term. It's possible I just don't remember, however I DO know that the nWo Elite was also refered to simply as the 'nWo Wolfpac' (because they wore the black and red colors of the Wolfpac and came out to the Wolfpac theme music.

And wasn't The Giant a member of the nWo B-Team at the very beginning of the nWo merger? I recall he was put in a nWo vs nWo match against Kevin Nash in which Nash won and Bischoff refered to Nash as the "true nWo Giant" (or something along those lines). This was the Giant's last match in WCW so it would of had to of been after the nWo merger if Bischoff was supporting Nash. MAd HaTtEr2k 17:47, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I didn't think so either until I did a search for Google. I don't remember it being mentioned on-air, but enough sources (such as ObsessedWithWrestling.com) refer to it as such that I think it's passable. The Giant was a part of "nWo Hollywood" AKA "nWo Black & White" when the two groups reunited in December 1998. Hogan, Hall, Nash, Steiner, Luger, and Bagwell sported the red & black, while The Giant, Vincent, Horace, Stevie Ray, Hennig, and Brian Adams sported the white & black and were abused and treated as comedy relief. They were never refered to as "nWo reunion". Nash & Giant did, indeed, wrestle in a match to prove who was the true nWo Giant. The match happened on January 11, 1999 on WCW Monday Nitro. It was The Giant's last appearance in WCW.MFuture 07:15, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

I also seem to recall Rick Steiner being a member of the nWo Elite team during the Reunion era. I know that he went heel and reunited with Scott. Whether or not he was an actual member of the nWo is disputable I guess. Anyone, should he be added? THX-1138 04:56, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Until there is any credible evidence that the nWo will return, let's not put that part back in. Rumors and speculation are not encyclopedic and disproven evidence is useless.

Same Shit Different Day. Yet again another old-school stable is obviously going to return and we can't record it on here. The pages on here are garbage information anyway why can't you guys just speculate maybe it would actually be worth reading. I mean everything on this page is not completely factual anyway.

This is false.... it's just a piece of externally created production music that they didn't want to pay for use on all the DVDs. It was on some WWF/E DVD releases and is also on WWE 24/7's replays of WCW Nitro. This bit is inaccurate and speculative and should be taken out. Edwardtang 19:42, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

I have been reformatting the article to follow the nWo timeline. I understand that I have made the article much longer than it used to be. I felt it was important to tell the story of the nWo and focus on the major events that shaped the storyline. If it must be shortened, so be it.MFuture 06:49, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

If anyone knew the membership dates of the members of nWo, that would be useful (as in the D-Generation X article. Also, would it be alright for me to add a section about the speculation and possibility of an nWo return? Tim Long 06:37, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
