Notability edit

Mr. Collins has made no effort to make clear why he feels Nephilim is not notable. Eric Burns refers to Nephilim with high praise: "This role playing game -- with lots of supplemental material by the staggeringly talented Kenneth Hite, I would add -- is one of those that RPG developers continue to cite as an influence today. Myself included." link I propose removing the notability template until further reasoning why it is not notable is given. --Master Forcide 07:33, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I removed the notability box, since it pertained to books. Might be relevant for an article on any of the Nephilim books, but not for the gamelines. Besides, there are three sources listed in the references section, and Nephilim's listed in the top half of RPGnet's systems. For a role-playing game, Nephilim is noteworthy enough, having been published in two languages and sold internationally - my personal copy was bought in Sweden in the mid-90s. If you are about to or just have replaced the notability box, please explain what us interested must do to make you understand this article is relevant. 80.244.74.178 (talk) 05:33, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please have a look to Character race edit

Hello,

@From, Rlandmann, and Joseph Dwayne: who seem to be main contributors of this article, but also to anyone interested in:

In the article Character race#Race-driven campaign, I mentionned Nephilim because it seems to have changed the way races were handeled in tabletop RPGs. Especially, with Nephilim, the race is not only a flavour or a list of capabilities, but the real core of the plot.

However, I never player Nephilim, so I would like some "specialists" to have a look at this assertion.

Regards

Revision history seems to be broken edit

Hello,

in the revision history for Nephilim (role-playing game), we can see that the article was created 09:42, 22 January 2004‎ with the folloowing coment:

creation; moving content from 'nephilim' to here

Now if we look at the revision history for Nephilim, we cans see that the article was created 08:38, 3 March 2004‎ with the following comment:

the primary use of the word.

— Nunh-huh

It looks like the following:

Not sure of this, but could an administrator have a look at this, and is it then possible to merge the history of the deleted article to have the full history and author crediting?

Best regards

Won't be necessary. The article about the role-playing game was initially created at Nephilim, and then moved to its current title. After that, the article about the human-angel hybrids was created at Nephilim. There's no copying to correct. Good spot, though. Yunshui  10:52, 18 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Yunshui: The problem is that I feel that the article wasn't moved by renaming (I don't remember what the procedure was back in 2004, but I guess renaming didn't exist as we know today). So, the revision history is broken, and the authors of this part of the text are not credited, which is an infringement of the intellectual property.

The text of Joseph Dwayne's original version of this article never existed at Nephilim - he did create something about the RPG at Nephilim (disambiguation), but he is the only person to have written that text. There is therefore no issue with attribution - Joseph is the sole contributor of that early version of the text. Nephilim has only two deleted revisions, both of them from about six months after its creation, and both of them regarding an attempted move to Nephilim (old redirect). There's no history at any of these pages that requires merging. Yunshui  08:25, 20 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Yunshui and Ahnoneemoos: (Ahnoneemoos seems to be Joseph Dwayne, maybe he could give us some elements) So you tell me that the text of the first version of Nephilim (role-playing game) is not the same as one of the two deleted versions of Nephilim, right?
A quick glance at John Dwayne's contribution (account created in January 2004) shows that John Dwayne doesn't seem to have an interest in tabletop RPG (except the creation of a redirect) nor in nephilims, so I really feel that the creation of the page Nephilim (role-playing game) is an administrative operation and that this text was not created by John Dwayne.

Well, if you can point me to it I'd be happy to merge it - but there's nothing in the deleted revisions of this article, Nephilim, Nephilim (disambiguation) or Nephilim (old redirect) which corresponds to an "original" version of the page prior to January 2004. Nothing to add on my side (maybe Ahnoneemoos?). Thanks for what you did, and sorry for the disturbance if I was wrong.
