With its 54 inhabitants, Naajaat is one of the smallest settlements in the Qaasuitsup municipality of northwestern Greenland. There are no shops in the settlement. The blue building to the left is used as a church, school, and village hall. Icebergs calve off from the Greenland ice sheet, seen to the left, 22 km (14 mi) away, and drift past the settlement.Photo: Slaunger

Possible improvements edit

I had a look at the official community page for the settlement. I can read that as I am a Dane, here is translation to English to the best of my abilities. Maybe some of the information can be incorporated in the article by a native english speaker?

Naajaat is situated north of Upernavik and located close to Innaarsuit, which is situated 12 kilometer to the East towards the ice shelf. There are er 51 (the latest 2011, July number is 54) inhabitants in Naajaat.
There is one employee in the service house in Naajaat, one cleaning assistant and a caretaker. There are two home helpers. Nukissiorfiit has an employee and there is privately owned service for privys. There is a teacher, a cleaning assistant and a care taker at the school. There is no shop in Naajaat; one needs to go to the nearest settlement Innaarsuit, to go shopping or pay bills. Naajaats surroundings is a large fishing area, where fishermen go to Innaarsuit to trade-in their catches.
There are no activities for children and young people, as it is impossible, but the school is being used for all activities, as there are no other possibilities.
