Latest comment: 2 years ago by RMCD bot in topic Move discussion in progress

The Classic WWE Cruiserweight Championship does not exist anymore as WWE has replaced with new WWE Cruiserweight Championship. WWE Website displayed only the new one.

The old Cruiserweight title history is here. The new one is here. Both still exist. oknazevad (talk) 21:49, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Floater" edit

I've reworded things a bit in the article to show that the CW title is a floater title that has been defended on 3 different brands since it's inception.

The CW division are semi-regular parts of NXT (both on TV and house shows), and just this week champion Rich Swann pulled a three-fer - appearing on all 3 shows (Raw, 205 Live, and NXT).

TJ Perkins (as champion) was part of the Dusty Rhodes Classic a few weeks back.

So to say the CW title (and more broadly the CW division) didn't have ties to NXT is misleading.

@LM2000: you might want to weigh in on this. Per WWE.com it is a RAW title, WWE are trying to get exposure to the CW's, that doesn't make it an NXT title. Just as @Oknazevad: said It was ONE defense. Just as the tag team and women's divisions have blended, so with the cruiserweights. That doesn't make it an NXT title. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" Talk to me 04:06, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

WWE says it's the Raw brand's championship so we have to reflect that. We can change it up if it becomes a reoccurring championship on NXT but it'll take more than one defense.LM2000 (talk) 05:53, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

So your seriously going to ignore this talk discussion? Stop readding that it's an NXT title when it isn't and defended on NXT when it isn't, it was a flipping house show not TV. If that's the case the NXT tag titles are now main roster cause they were defended at roadblock. Which they are not. Your source 411 also credits an unreliable sources Wrestling Inc per [WP:PW]. House shows are just that house shows you can see a mix of alot of stuff that doesn't mean it's an NXT title. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" Talk to me 23:21, 9 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Vjmlhds: WP:BRD applies here. You've been in a number of conflicts over NXT lately, you may want to step back for awhile to deescalate the situation.LM2000 (talk) 00:43, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Here is is straight out of HHH's mouth from a legitimate mainstream newspaper (Philadelphia Inquirer), where he said the CWs would be working Raw, NXT, and NXT Live events If the man who oversees the division says they are part of NXT, it doesn't get more definitive than that. Vjmlhds (talk) 00:53, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

That says nothing of the cruiserweight title being NXT or being defended there, just the CW's. The title is a RAW title not NXT. Your source says nothing of the title being NXT. Chris "WarMachineWildThing" Talk to me 00:57, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

The article was written before they unveiled the title... Hunter even left it ambiguous as to whether there would even be a new CW title.LM2000 (talk) 01:01, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
Here's an article that goes even further into the weeds talking about HHH, the CWs and NXT Vjmlhds (talk) 01:55, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Quote from the article "The inaugural WWE Cruiserweight Classic is over after 10 weeks of incredible action that saw 32 of the best cruiserweights from around the world compete in a tournament to see who was the best in the world. The winner of the tournament, T.J. Perkins, was given a trophy as well as the brand new WWE Cruiserweight Championship that will be a part of the Raw brand." Again article says Its a RAW title and NOTHING about the title being on NXT, it says the CW'S may appear IT SAYS NOTHING about the title being on NXT or being part of NXT. Not one source you have provided says the title will be part of NXT or defended on NXT programming, so stop adding it to the article. edit

On the February 27 edition of Raw, the "swoosh" in the logo was red or orange, instead of purple. -- CollisionCourse (talk) 02:41, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

That's interesting. I just noticed it on a video on WWE's Facebook. I'll see if they updated the pic on their website. They haven't updated the pic on their website yet. --JDC808 05:34, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
Might have been orange, to match 205 Live. -- CollisionCourse (talk) 07:27, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
In a review video on YouTube, the "swoosh" is in indeed orange; on both the main plate and side plates. -- CollisionCourse (talk) 06:28, 29 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Can you link that? --JDC808 21:21, 30 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Title Defense on Raw edit

I think we should personally remove the sentence that states the Title is Defended on Raw as the Championship hasnt been defended on Raw since Enzo had the title, All Title Defenses are either 205 Live or PPV's. SSGeorgie (talk) 02:04, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SSGeorgie: Just because it hasn't been, doesn't mean it wont. It is still part of the Raw brand officially. There is no WP:RS that says it is now exclusive, and wikipedia goes based on the sources, not WP:OR - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 13:08, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
