Need to be expanded

This article only refers to the Nueva Canción movement an dnot all the manifestations of Chilean Music. An article of Chilean music should include topics as ethnical music, classical Chilean folklore (cueca, chiloe's waltz), the bolero singers, the nueva ola movement, the Chilean rock (Los Jaivas, Prisioneros, Los Tres, La Ley) and the actual pop music.

In this actual state, the article I'm not well informed about the topic, but i think i could translate some information if anyone wants to write about in spanish.

The Tonada isn't from Chile, traditionally is from argentine region called Cuyo (Argentina). The Polka is from argentine region called Litoral. You have the Cueca and other styles. --Vokoder 22:09, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Payada?

I agree that the article needs to be expanded. Currently there is no mention of payada, or the use of the Guitarron Chileno -- a style and an instrument virtually unique to Chile.

Orphaned references in Music of Chile

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Music of Chile's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
