Because the 12-track edition was issued in several European countries, the song's first release was in Sweden and Norway in October 1968. → but removed it from the album's track listing in a last-minute decision. Composition and recording
edit- I would remove the image, doesn't add anything vital to the article
- Fair enough. Removed.
- Unlink the second instance of Andy Miller

- recording for which began in earnest in March 1968 → recording for the album or song? It mentions both in the previous sentence.
- Clarified that it's the album.
- Mellotron → casual readers won't be familiarized with this, a small sentence between commas could go a long way
- Added a bit on what a Mellotron is.

Release and reception
edit- The song therefore does → Therefore, the song does

- Because of the last-minute → Despite the last-minute
- I disagree. It's because the decision was made at the last minute that masters had already been sent away. If he made the decision earlier, they likely could have been halted. I don't think "Despite" would make much sense in that context.
- Didn't the masters already been sent away when he made the decision? Maybe rephrase it. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 11:31, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
- Tried rewording things to make it clearer.
- featuring both a "blithe melody and toe-tapping arrangement" → as they both feature a "blithe melody and toe-tapping arrangement"
- He's not talking about both "Wonderboy" and "Mr. Songbird", but just the latter, so I've tweak the wording to clarify that.
- is comparable the best written → is comparable to the best written

- released 25 January 1973 → released on 25 January 1973

Overall
edit- Personel section with producers, writers, engineers...
- Personnel sections are required for albums by WP:PERSONNEL, the WP:SONGS doesn't actually required them for song articles. I try to include them where able, as on "I've Just Seen a Face", but with the Kinks I often just don't have any way to verify every musician on the recording. That's the case here, which is why there isn't one.
- You need to mention the writer and producer on the body of the article.

- I made some edits, see if you are ok with those and left a question. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 11:26, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
- MarioSoulTruthFan, I think that introduced a typo, so I adjusted the sentence to improve its wording. The years are fine. Tkbrett (✉) 18:18, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
