This is a description from someone who truly hates Mirdita. Mirdita tribe is the only independent territory within the ottoman empire that fought relentlessly and has never been conquered by anyone. Other greek and slavic tribes (with the exeption of Mani, Suliotes and very few other tribes) were asleep when Mirdita was sheding blood against ottomans. I would like to mention one interesting fact: greeks and slavs did not liberate themselves from Turks, but it is rather turks who left them.
