Proposed merger of Mineralization (soil science) into this article edit

Mineralization (soil science) appears to be a subset of Mineralization (biology). I believe it would help the understanding of all mechanisms involved if similarities and differences could be explained in a single article. Also both articles do not contain much text yet and might profit from each others content. --KaiKemmann (talk) 11:38, 29 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. The mineralization (biology) page describes a process where the product is insoluble "mineral" form, decreasing its bioavailability; in mineralization (soil science) the process results in the production of a soluble inorganic product with increased bioavailability. Merge into Biomineralization edit

The two articles are essentially about the same phenomena, but one is substantially more complete than the other. Note Mineralized tissues is also relevant here. François Robere (talk) 20:36, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
