I'd like

I'd like to start a list of genericized trademarks (legal status lost) and list of trademarks commonly used as generic (e.g. Kleenex). Is this article the right place to add this list? Or should we start a new article, "List of genericized trademarks"? Samw 04:01 5 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Maybe create a article called Genericized trademark. Explain what it is and include the list there. You can link it to trademark, Brand, Brand management ect. You could include a remark in trademark about it if it is not explained well there. - - - user:mydogategodshat
Thanks. Done. Samw 18:07 14 Jul 2003 (UTC)

What's with the table at the end of the article? I've never seen it in any other article. —Frecklefoot 16:31 14 Jul 2003 (UTC)

What table? (202.74.244.15 11:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC))

"Kleenex, for example, once solely referred to Kleenex brand tissue but it has since become a common to use it as a term to identify any tissue, even if it is from an opposing brand."

No it hasn't. Maybe this should be qualified, in terms of just who/where the morons that do this, are exactly. I've never known anyone do that, and if they did, they'd be justifiably ridiculed.

Oh, must dash, I have to drive my Lamborghini to go and pick up Courteney Cox as we're spending a weekend at The Ritz.

There are plenty of people who use "Kleenex" to indicate tissues. I myself called them "Kleenex" before I even knew what the word Tissue meant. Maybe they just don't do it where you live. -- 23:18, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
