Trying to figure out Afromoths link edit

Wikipedia has Metarbelodes obliquilinea (Bethune-Baker, 1909).

Wikipedia has Metarbela obliqualinea Bethune-Baker, 1909 as a synonym. That's the same spelling of the specific name as in Afromoths and the same as in Bethune-Baker 1909. Metarbela is a full genus on Wikipedia.

Afromoths has Metarbelodes obliqualinea (Bethune-Baker, 1909) at http://www.afromoths.net/species_by_code/METAOBLI.

Afromoths has Metarbelodes Strand, 1909 at http://www.afromoths.net/genus/show/385080 where it says the type species of that genus is Metarbela umtaliana Aurivillius, 1901.

obliquilinea =/= obliqualinea. The second "i" in the former is an "a" in the later.

In Bethune-Baker, G. T. 1909. "Descriptions of new African Lepidoptera" Annals and Magazine of Natural History (8)3:422–437 at https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/22071795#page/459/mode/1up, it says Metarbela obliqualinea on page 425.

At NHM, LepIndex, they have METARBELODES obliquilinea Bethune-Baker, 1909 in the text and on the card it says "obliquilinea" where it looks like an "a" was crossed out and dotted, making it sort of an "i".

NHM, Butterflies and Moths of the World, at http://www.nhm.ac.uk/our-science/data/butmoth/search/GenusDetails.dsml?NUMBER=17845.0 says "Metarbelodes was established as a subgenus of Metarbela Holland, 1893".

Savela has neither.

Insecta.pro has Metarbelodes obliquilinea Bethune-Baker 1909 at http://insecta.pro/taxonomy/699338.

We know what Bethune-Baker originally wrote, but we don't know when the genus was changed or by whom and when it was, was the specific name also changed.

Dutch Wikipedia has both.

I can link to the Afromoths page at http://www.afromoths.net/species_by_code/METAOBLI and hope nobody's confused later. Thinking about this. Will resolve later.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  23:56, 27 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

I've change the article title to Metarbelodes obliqualinea. I hope that is correct.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  02:47, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
