Mercuri Method???

Does anyone have any citations from a reliable source where this is called the Mecuri method? Or is this just an article created by someone (like Ms. Mercuri) claiming it should be called the Mercuri Method?

Does she even call it the Mercuri Method in her thesis? I highly doubt it.
