Council Member Greenfield was elected at a special election in March, 2010. The referendum reducing term limits back to two consecutive full terms, was enacted in November, 2010. However, it did not apply to any elected City officer then in office, who were entitled to three full consecutive terms. Because he was in office at the time the referendum was enacted, Greenfield is entitled to three full consecutive terms, and because he was elected at a special election, he has not yet served a full term. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gnosticdogma (talkcontribs) 01:28, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
