Untitled edit
List defines "neo-" as "new" - I thing "young" would be better, as nova means new.( As in Novascotia.)81.141.26.118 (talk) 14:55, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Removal of (o)'s from entries edit
I would prefer to see the (o) removed from many of the roots, as the O is used more for connecting root parts together and isn't usually part of the root itself. --98.203.241.55 (talk) 17:39, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
- But the (o) is part of the root indeed, just a variation of the root for combining to affixes that don't end with a vowel. Some roots (e.g., bil/i or chol/e, both meaning "bile") don't combine to affixes with an "o."
- If you're suggesting that we remove only the (o)s, and not the outliers, then it will just cause confusion as to which vowel to use to combine most of the roots to a vowel-less affix. Lilglocky (talk) 19:57, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
Sortable lists edit
I understand that it is possible to make the lists sortable in every column. This would be helpful, but I haven't the time to figure out how to do it right now. Boleroinferno (talk) 18:07, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Question About a Word Root edit
Ptero- also means "wing" (i.e., besides pterygo-), but does that apply to medical language? Cbsteffen (talk) 16:11, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
Title Revision edit
The title is longer than it needs to be. We could simplify it by naming it "List of medical roots and affixes." Lilglocky (talk) 19:37, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
