Rachelle Fraenkel edit

Question for User:NatGertler. I agree that it seems odd to explain in this article who she is. She doesn't have a separate entry, should we just redlink? I think she might be notable, since there are dozens of news reports about her, but maybe she'll be considered a One Event bio attempt. Matan has many other faculty but I'm not sure which are notable. Thanks. ProfGray (talk) 17:28, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

I suspect that, were an article proposed, she would fall under WP:BLP1E, as you suggest; I haven't looked enough into her to see if she had notability after the article you had linked to (if she's been a key part of an ongoing peace effort, say). I'm not sure that we should include her in this article at all - she's arguably borderline notable, but is she notable for anything that relates to her employment, or is her notability have any significant impact through her employment? Given that the article that was linked to didn't mention her employment, my suspicion is not, but I've not looked for other sources on her. (If she had a place of key prominence at the school - whatever the equivalent of president, provost, or dean is - then we could list her as encyclopedic information, of course.) --Nat Gertler (talk) 18:00, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi. I hope she's notable, Nat Gertler, since I just spent a chunk of time tracking down sources and creating the bio, Rachelle Fraenkel. Look okay? ProfGray (talk) 18:55, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
As you'll see, I've taken smoothing pass on that - but yes, because she took what happened to her and used that as a basis to enter a larger conversation, I suspect that will hold up. If we do include discussion of her in this article, it should be phrased in terms of what she did, rather than what was done to her. --Nat Gertler (talk) 19:31, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
