Etymology edit
Marada in Aramiac and even in Arabic means the rebels I am not sure why its not mentioned in the article?
It has nothing to do with the Greeks and I doubt a Banu Murad is related to this since most the Marada were Arameans and Ghassanids

I suggest that we merge Mardites and Marda articles into one article. This group is disputed, there has been several theories to explain their origin, theories such as:
- Aramic origin.
- Greek origin.
- Arab (Banu Murad) origin.

- I don't think a merge is prudent. The Mardaites are an ethnic group of admittedly disputed origin. The Marada were a group of self-governing communities set up by the Mardaites and others. Convention on WP is to separate articles about countries and regions from articles about people: hence German people/Germany, Bashkirs/Bashkortostan, etc. Briangotts (Contrib) 20:09, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
