This is according to Sir Peter Buck - 1949, but from what I have read elsewhere it looks like the migration was a bit more staggered. The reason I wanted to add this page was because I couldn't find a summary of the various Iwi in NZ in wikipedia. I hope my addition will prompt some others better informed people to add their Whakapapa in better detail. Cheers N
