I would like to know who named it and why. There seems no doubt it was named after the town in the Transvaal, only famous for the siege in which Australian soldiers took part on behalf of the British Empire. It occurred due to the British reneging on an agreement to allow the independence of the region, and the utter destruction of the South African Republic that followed was celebrated as a great triumph. It's odd how Australians continue to celebrate the illegal wars of the British. This is but one example ZadieTwinge (talk) 00:46, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
