Tricky navigation of tenses

edit

As the initial creator of this article content, I have tried to steer correctly around the somewhat tricky application of present versus past tenses in discussing this discontinued product line. For reference, the Wikipedia Manual of Style states: "By default, write articles in the present tense, including ... products or works that have been discontinued. Generally, use past tense only for past events." So in general I have used phrases like "A macroscope, or photomacroscope in its camera-equipped version (in German: makroskop / photomakroskop) *is* a type of optical microscope...", but "The M400 *was* sold with a dedicated range of camera bodies" since that deals with a past event. If I have slipped up anywhere, feel free to fix as needed. Tony 1212 (talk) 03:58, 8 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
