"Tens and thousands" edit

Did a copy-edit of subject/verb number agreement and use of commas for introductory clauses. However, the intention of this sentence is not clear enough to correct: "The design of Merkle tree is based on the claims from Intel describing the future of hardware processors with tens and thousands of cores...". The usual idiom is "tens of thousands", meaning 20,000+ or 30,000+ or 40,000+ ... etc. As presently written, "tens and thousands" seems to skip over "hundreds". Are we describing a range from, say, 20 to 5,000 (tens to thousands)? If the range is indeed in the five-figure area (27,000 to 69,000, etc.), then the correct usage is "tens of thousands". Whoever wrote that phrase should be able to correct it using this information. Unimaginative Username (talk) 06:40, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Conventional uni-core" edit

The sentence "... Intel describing the future of hardware processors with tens and thousands of cores instead of the conventional uni-core systems" disregard the current prevalence of multi-core systems. Seems dated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.1.79.6 (talk) 09:32, 22 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
