Why would you want to? Nothing but maintenance problems

Yeah, ACEs are fun as hell to drive, when they work. They say you can leave a brand new ACE in the motor pool, not drive it for a couple of months and it'll still somehow get Class III leaks. Some like to call it the "Hydraulic Nightmare". I have a friend who attributes it's problems to two things. It was designed for the Marines, and it was designed by a woman. Multiple Issues

This article has a number of issues:

1. No sources/citations (tagged since 2007) 2. Original research (speculations on hypothetical combat performance) 3. Out of date (references to upgrades due to be completed in 1996, etc.) 4. Style issues (breathless prose, un-encyclopedic tone) 5. Copyright issues (large sections of this article appear to be lifted verbatim from company literature) 6. Overly technical (extreme detail given to maintenance issues, with little information of interest to a general audience)

In light of the wide-ranging and serious faults with this article, I am requesting expert attention for the subject. I am certainly no expert on the subject, or I would gladly rewrite this article. As a layperson, I have learned virtually nothing from this article, except that a combat engineer vehicle designated M9 exists. As written, this is either a company brochure or a repair manual.

Keep it, to be honest, whether expert information or not. As a someone responsible for mainting the M9 ACE a lot of the information was good stuff you couldn't find elsewhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.59.12.226 (talk) 06:24, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
