Greek place name

According the article: Lukovë, the municipal seat is inhabited by a majority Orthodox Albanian population (2076 or 82%) alongside minorities of Muslim Albanians (250 or 12%) and Greeks (150 or 6%). So, we can add the Greek place name? User Ktrimi991 disagree with the Greek place name. He believe that according wikipedia it is wrong. BILL1 (talk) 13:27, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

@Jingiby:@BILL1: Having a minority does not suffice on its own. Razgrad does not have its Turkish name regardless of its Turkish minority, Rhodes does not have its Turkish name regardless of its Turkish minority, Bitola does not have its Albanian name regardless of its Albanian name, and so on. Exactly. There is also a Turkish minority in Xanthi, yet the article doesn't mention its Turkish name in the lead. N.Hoxha (talk) 15:41, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Xanthi's Turkish name is mentioned. As is its Bulgarian name. Right below lede. Here on Lukove, you are removing completely the Greek name. That's not the same. --- ❖ SilentResident ❖ ^{(talk ✉ | contribs ✎)} 15:50, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Name

What new did the source you added offer? The article already mentions that a small number of Greek-speakers lived in the municipality but this didn't warrant in the past the inclusion of the Greek name. Alltan (talk) 21:44, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

Maybe Alexikoua is under the impression that "minority" always means a large part. Even 1% of the population is a minority. There is also the Aromanian name of Lukovë, since some Aromanians have moved there after 1990. The 3 names (Albanian, Greek, Aromanian) should be in the Name section. Fiedler

I removed a statement by Fielder (2006) who in his words claims that based on his personal recollections Vorläufige Version; Unvollständig Piqeras, Lukovë and Sasaj were Gree-speaking in 1957. This statement contradicts major studies which were held before and after this period in Piqeras which didn't note any Greek-speaking region in Piqeras, and more importantly the village Sasaj was/is a Muslim Albanian village and definitely wasn't Greek-speaking and/or Greek Orthodox. The version which is cited is a pre-print (Vorläufige Version; Unvollständig, hence the author might have corrected his geographical mistake but in any case per WP:RS it can't be cited.--Maleschreiber (talk) 14:12, 5 July 2023 (UTC)
