Fair use rationale for Image:LouisvilleCardinals.png

Image:LouisvilleCardinals.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:UL Cardinal head logo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --23:47, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Lack of citing references and neutrality

This article does not contain the appropriate amount of citations for verification purposes. Wikipedia articles are not to be used for original research, but rather for encyclopedic purposes. There is also distinct bias throughout the article, particularly in the Notable games section where only Louisville victories are mentioned. It is inconceivable that the Louisville Cardinal football program has not been involved in several momentous games that resulted in defeat. Again, Wikipedia articles should be neutral in their composition. See neutral point of view for further clarification. Swcrowemessage 22:16, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

There are some losses but we do need to add the 2 games at Rutgers the loss in 2006 when both teams were undefeated going into the game and Ray Rice had big game. Then last years game where QB Teddy Bridgewater led U of L to victory despite his injurys. They were both great games. Theworm777 (talk) 09:16, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Completely biased article, almost nothing is sourced, and there are multiple copyright issues throughout, basically with every picture. Someone needs to very seriously consider starting this page over from scratch. You guys have been trying to sort these issues out for months and even years, but have made absolutely no progress at all. I tried to fix some issues I spotted but when I noticed that literally every section was just as bad as the couple sentences I worked on, I gave up in frustration. This article is a huge disservice to Wikipedia, a huge disservice to anyone who actually wants information on Louisville football, and has insisted on violating copyright law for so long that it's becoming criminal. Get it together, guys, this thing is an embarrassment. 184.20.61.21 (talk) 06:46, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

The article has little to no references. Also, is it appropriate to have a section on the 2006 season? Shouldn't that be it's own article? General125 04:41, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

IP editor engaged in revenge edits with regards to citations

As it might be a conflict of interest for me to consider the recently added "citation needed" tags, I ask other editors to process them as normal. Thanks. The IP editor is upset and acting out because I have placed these tags on articles they work on. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 16:35, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
