2005 export of 800 high-caliber Steyr HS .50 single-shot anti-materiel sniper rifles to Iran,
intermediated by Iranian American millionaire Navid Khiabani

I'm trying to find a reliable source for this assertion. It's scattered all over the web, using nearly the same wording in English, and also in various languages: Spanish, German, Dutch, Hebrew.

==I accidentally published this before adding the page URLs. URLs have been added as of 23:25 10 January 2019 .==

I also found an Italian arms supplier's website written in English, which states:

"Steyr made international headlines when it sold 800 HS .50 long range sniper rifles to Iran in 2005, for the National Iranian Police Organisation to use against drug smugglers, by Navid Pars business Group later to be known as Navid Pars America through its chairman Navid Khiabani.
There were claims in the UK and the United States that the rifles would find their way into Iraq and be used against the New Iraqi Army or Coalition forces. Forty-five days later it was claimed that several American soldiers were killed by one of the exported weapons, and that a number of the rifles were recovered in raids on Iraqi insurgents. However, the U.S. Central Command announced late 2007 that no Austrian rifle had been found or seized in Iraq."

Are any of the above sites reliable sources? If you click on them, the sites link to the actual page making the assertion. My fellow WP editors, if you're interested, please give your impressions of the reliablity of these sources. I'm actually wondering whether this story began as disinformation.--Quisqualis (talk) 23:24, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

Elizabeth & Mary's current relationship?

Here in Elizabeth Cheney's article, it states: "Cheney's [2013 Wyoming] campaign was marred by criticism from her past championing of hawkish foreign policy positions to a public spat with her sister Mary over her refusal to support same-sex marriage." Have the sisters reconciled? If so, has Elizabeth's opinion softened into acceptance of her sister's marriage? This is an important aspect of the Cheney family dynamics as well as Elizabeth's representation of her constituency.

Thank you for your time and trouble, Wordreader (talk) 06:24, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

Did Liz Cheney Author the Article?

Did Liz Cheney write this article herself? I don't recognize some of the events and the timidity of the subject being written about. This is clearly an article vetted by her public relations staff, not at all by allegedly independent Wikipedia editors and contributors... It is quite one-sided.
