I was surprised that this did not appear in the list of mathematics lists. (But now, of course, it does.) Michael Hardy 23:28, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Should we include the Associated Legendre polynomials or the Legendre functions? Certainly, I think we should as they are different from the Legendre Polynomials.
Page title and content don't match edit
The page title is (currently) "List of special functions and eponyms", however, the page only lists special functions that are *also* eponyms. I would expect from the title that it would list special functions *and* eponyms as two separate categories of things.
I propose the name should be changed to something along the lines of "List of eponymic special functions". 97.120.112.254 (talk) 01:56, 2 October 2022 (UTC)
