More Details edit

I think this would be a nice article to have a grid with details of major features, platforms, and cost. Tinman8443 22:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree; at the very least, it should be separated into free/open-source software and pay software. -Oct 2, 2007 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.118.113.144 (talk) 17:26, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

"PC" isn't really a meaningful platform. There's a big difference between Linux and Windows, both being PC OSses. PC isn't a synonyme for Windows. 193.166.18.55 (talk) 12:43, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Celtx is not open source. They do offer the source of an old version, but latest versions are closed source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.193.233.237 (talk) 10:11, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is there a reason the list doesn't include Cinergy Script Editor from Mindstar Productions? Or was it just overlooked? It appears to be free and pretty full-featured. --Michael K SmithTalk 19:19, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Needs a link or reference to "screenplay" macros for TeX. I cannot find these. There is also ScriptTeX package by Adrian McCarthy http://www.aidtopia.com/software/scripttex/index.html which seems to be better available, although rather old 86.214.93.201 (talk) 13:52, 22 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

What about software that turns traditional word processor documents into screenplay format? (I've coded some myself, wink wink) --RichardAlexanderHall (talk) 03:57, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

WordStar edit

Should WordStar be part of the list? It's a word processor without any specific screenwriting oriented features, then Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, and other present and discontinued word processors should also be included. ElfQrin (talk) 01:22, 22 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I removed the entry for WordStart. Screenwriter88 (talk) 16:45, 13 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Clean-up edit

Basically right now this is a mess of article links, external links, discontinued software, word processing templates, etc. Should it at least be cleaned up into categories such as Software, Websites, Templates, and Discontinued? Screenwriter88 (talk) 16:45, 13 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
