Criteria for a Person to be Considered from Chhattisgarh:

1. Place of Birth: The person must be born in the modern-day state of Chhattisgarh.
2. Ancestral Origin: The person's birthplace may have been a part of Madhya Pradesh before the formation of Chhattisgarh as a separate state. If this is the case, and the birthplace now falls within the geographical boundaries of Chhattisgarh, they can be considered from Chhattisgarh.
