Pointless page?

This there any point in keeping this page, when there is the more useful Category:English_musical_groups? It just seems like a waste of time, they're both pretty much the same page.

Surely this list will never be comprehensive? I don't think it should be deleted, but are far too many English bands to make it encyclopaedic. Zarcadia (talk) 16:29, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Newport

Bands or individual musicians?

Why include individual singers in a list of /musical groups/bands? It seems a bit beyond the expected scope to me! Sionk (talk) 00:49, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

It certainly is and would end up with band listed along with many of their members in some cases. It would make more sense for someone to start a similar list of musicians from England which is solely for individuals, and link the two via 'See also' sections. --Michig (talk) 21:34, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

If we include individual musicians then why not also classical musicians? Why don't we also add orchestras? Conductors? Brass bands? Choirs? Or should we have a well-defined scope and stick to it? --Michig (talk) 20:59, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
