Kosovo

Because Kosovo is an independent country, all references to mountains in its territory must be removed. The map does show the new borders of Serbia. Therefore, all mountains that belong to Kosovo must be removed.--Arbër (Let's Talk) 07:44, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

No is not since it's not recognized by UN. Косовска Митровица (talk) 15:59, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Kosovo still isn't fully recognized as an independent country. Therefore, all mountains that belong to Kosovo still belong to Serbia, too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.185.115.28 (talk) 16:24, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Taiwan (as the Republic of China) claims all territory of the People's Republic of China. Should we note that Mount Everest belongs to both. No, most certainly not. Mountains on Formosa island belong to Taiwan and Mount Everest is shared between the PRC and India. That UN you quote so much is not an arbitrar for encyclopaedical work. UN forced Taiwan out without any respect to the procedure and International law. UN did not protect the Danzig mandate of the League of Nations (nor brought any decision about the Danzig issue, as if the issue doesn't exist). UN (and British diplomacy) failed Palestine, Cyprus, former Yugoslavia (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina which were attacked by Serbia and Montenegro; Serbia and Montenegro even occupied one hill in Macedonia).
Spain claims Gibraltar. Etc.
This policy is false and damages only the Serbian Nation.

I have added it to wikiproject Kosovo for watching further. Need to develop a plan for all this duplication and what I see as POV forking. James Michael DuPont (talk) 07:40, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
As an WP:OWNer of this list :), I wouldn't mind removing the Kosovo mountains and referencing List of mountains of Kosovo as a sub-article of this. Before that, the articles need some synchronization, as I fixed a couple (not all) peeks and coordinates. Of course, mountains on Central Serbia-Kosovo border should be in both lists. No such user (talk) 10:30, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Agree, sure, that is not such a problem, sub-articles are common on wikipedia. Will you move then, No such user? --WhiteWriter speaks 10:39, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
I will, though I'm a bit busy in RL at the moment. There is no deadline, anyway. No such user (talk) 13:52, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Citation needed Bandera

Bandera is listed as in Suva Planina but that mountain is not in Kosovo and its maximum height is listed as Trem with 1,810 m, and Bandera is listed as higher. I cannot find any reliable reference to this mountain, I think it should be removed. I have gotten verbal unsourced information that the mountain is in montenegro with this coords listed here [[[User:Mdupont/Bandera_(peak)]] but that does not make sense either. Could someone please verify this? thanks, mike James Michael DuPont (talk) 10:33, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

One reference to Bandera is here "510 Vidojevica (Bandera) 1155 582/1" in http://www.psd-kopaonik.org.rs/03KatalogplaninaSrbije.html

see also Vidojevica that lists Bandera.

Please check the references, I found dead link. http://www.zeleznicar.org.yu/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=78

Translation of References

All the references are in serbian. according to wikipedia policy you should post translations of them. There are hundreds of links here on this page, It would be great if someone could post translations of them. WP:RSUE. Thanks mike James Michael DuPont (talk) 10:33, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

And what sort of translation would you expect? This is a list of mountains with highest peaks, not a particularly disputable article. Most references are from mountaineering and hiking clubs, or municipal websites. If you want to explore further, Google Translate is your friend, but I don't see how one could possibly translate anything meaningful, apart from the mountain name, peak and height. And you don't need translation for that. No such user (talk) 08:13, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Well I see now that i was wrong on the translation bit. Fine, I am also using foreign language sources all the time now. The see also List_of_mountains_in_Kosovo] was removed yesterday that I added, that list is more complete and better now we have two duplicate lists to maintain and link from the serbian to the kosovo list, poor people who want to use wp. they will get confused because of some petty conflicts. Expansion

Zoupan, which did you add a list of mountains which aren't actually in Serbia? That causes problems with WP:NPOV and WP:V. bobrayner (talk) 14:12, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

Location map+

If anyone has some spare time, this location map would be a worthwhile addition to the article. I plan to get to it one day, anyway. I'm not sure how it would handle a hundred entries though. No such user (talk) 12:19, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
