Beith is not in East Renfrewshire

edit

Not only is Beith not in East Renfrewshire. Caldwell is nowhere Beith. --Stewart (talk | edits) 19:32, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Then why not move or merge? --MGA73 (talk) 19:40, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

edit

This article should not be speedy deleted as having no substantive content, because it is a part of a set of lists. It is better to move or merge if name is not correct or the list is "too short". --MGA73 (talk) 19:45, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

{{db-nocontent}} also covers "consists only of external links". This article exists only to list external links. The creation is also inaccurately carried out. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:19, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
The article does not consist only of external links. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:28, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Links to listed building and references to listed building appear to be the raison d'erte for this article. Never mind, if this ridiculous article created by a bot is not to be delete we may at least correct it. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:34, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

North Ayrshire

edit
These properties are in Caldwell near Uplawmoor in East Renfrewshire. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:39, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
The source uses the old parishes of Scotland. Take for example the first listing. Beware of that when shifting everything around. Currently the intro says that this is about the parish "Uplawmoor", but there is no such parish (and never been), so that's incorrect. Multichill (talk) 20:46, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
...and East Renfrewshire is a modern description. So if it is East Renfrewshire, then Caldwell is part of Uplawmoor, otherwise the ancient county is Renfrewshire and part of Neilston. --Stewart (talk | edits) 20:56, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
If we change from something wrong to something that is also wrong is it better than before? Perhaps it would be a good idea to discuss what to do with these articles before they are all moved around. It should be possible to fix intro with a bot once "we" agree how it should be written. That should be easier than fixing it all manually. --MGA73 (talk) 21:59, 20 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
