Being deliberately perverse!

Regarding Phil and Charlie (or Carlo as his Welsh constituents prefer), I wonder about the order of precedence/wearing. Presumably, as this page about the Order of Australia, then Australian Order of precedence/wearing should be used. This means that any non-Australian / non-Awards-of-the-Monarch AFTER 1975 are Foreign awards, and thus the recipients are NOT entitled to use the post-nominals. (c.f. John Howard and his Star of the Solomon Islands.)

Date of Prince Philip's knighthood

It was announced on 26 January 2015. But, as User:Miesianiacal has kindly informed me, the knighthood was actually created via an amendment to the Constitution of the Order of Australia. This was necessary to avoid his award being honorary rather than substantive, he not being an Australian citizen. The Queen signed the Letters Patent on 7 January 2015, and from that moment he was an AK. That it was not publicly announced till 26 January wouldn't change that, I'd have thought. If he had died after 7 Jan but before 26 Jan, he'd have been entitled to AK after his name in all official references to him.

Further, since this is implicit acknowledgment that Prince Philip is not an Australian citizen and would not otherwise have qualified for a substantive award, how come his previous Companion (AC) was not also honorary? It's never been so described anywhere I've ever seen, but surely that was its status. Not to proclaim

There is dispute over some of those where Wikipedia is not to proclaim not even parlaiment can make proclomation. The Australian Award program is not part of Politics in Australia. Perhaps you would be wise to learn from heard before 1981.

Further to say no-one can tell us who is not the King, the headlines on MSN read in succession King Charles III offered title 'The King Of Australia' followed by King Charles III refused title 'The King Of Australia' which is right because it was statements much earlier.

Also one should not presume what right by Sovereign it is not by title and the earlier assignment has headship and precedence. Either an assignment of Land or some Responsibility.

Even the mint was organised much earlier than the Prince Of Wales coin in 1981.
